4 Reasons to visit spa @ Ink Block

Sure it may seem weird at first that spa @ inkblock is located inside Boston's Whole Foods South End, but when you think about it, it’s actually awesome. Situated just beyond the cheese section, past the wine department, the location could not be more primo. Just think, after your spa treatments you can grab selections from the two most important food groups. One of the best perks of the location is the parking lot right out front with free valet parking on the weekends. A real premium in Boston as we know.

2. The Treatments

A full service spa inside a Whole Foods? You betcha. Dave and I had a day of pampering where I receive a manicure and a signature facial (my first!) and Dave indulged in a pedicure and a 50 minute relaxation massage. Best of all this month, take advantage of the @SimkoSays Summer Special and get a Manicure + your choice of a Relaxation Massage OR Signature Facial for $89.. I highly recommend the facial especially if you’ve never had one before. Beyond your face, the technician works your neck, shoulders, and chest with warm towels wrapped around your face and a relaxing, caressing mist. Also, I was told I have “nearly perfect” skin. #HumbleBrag

3. Unpretentious

Like Whole Foods, spa at inkblock delivers quality treatments in an unassuming and comfortable space. The sleek, simple design lets you know that while you’re being pampered, there isn’t anything fussy about or over the top. If you’re new to spa treatments, or are a guy who is looking to dip his toe in the spa waters, spa @ inkblock is a perfect place to start. Also, the technicians are more than happy to help you along through your treatments to alleviate any embarrassment. Don’t worry bruh, the spa is a wicked cool spot.

4. SimkoSays Summer Special

Through the end of August, get a Manicure + your choice of a Relaxation Massage OR Signature Facial for $89. That’s a savings of up to $21 and a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent a lot of your summer weekends on the Cape Cod beaches, in chlorine or salt water, and your skin has taken a beating. The manicure will clean up your hands, and facial will get your skin back to its optimal condition. The relaxation massage is a combination of massage techniques to help your body release toxins and melt into bliss. Make a day out of your spa experience with lunch at Whole Foods’ ridiculously awesome salad or hot food bar. Once you’ve rehydrated and eaten, take a stroll through the South End Open Market just across the street from Ink Block.

Spa @ inkblock/Whole Foods South End provided spa treatments at no cost in exchange for social media/blog coverage. Thoughts and opinions of my (fabulous) experience are my own.
